North America Powerpoints!

After 4 sessions of researching facts about a North American country, Topaz class enjoyed sharing their learning with each other .

It has definitely made us all wish for a sunny tropical beach holiday in Barbados, The Bahamas or Jamaica ! Many are hoping one day they may get to visit the vibrant countries of Cuba or Mexico.

For nature lovers, Costa Rica or Guatemala is the place to go.

Canada had something for everyone with beautiful lakes, wildlife and snow capped mountains and the fact that stood out the most for me is that Greenland is the biggest island in the world yet only has a population of 56,000.

🐣Easter Orienteering 🐣

A HUGE thank you to the PTA and Mrs Minshall-Thomas who set up an Easter Orienteering course for us today! The sun was shining, the grass was green, the birds were singing and chocolate eggs were waiting! 🤣 We had lots of fun and our map reading skills weren’t too bad either! 🤩👍

To conclude our fantastic unit of Cricket, we all showed off our skills in a round robin Team Cricket tournament. Each team showed superb teamwork, made improvements each game and the enthusiasm was immense! 🤩

Thanks to our wonderful Head Girl Myla, Head Boy Callum and Yellow Team Captain Evie, we had lots of fun today raising money for Brain Tumour research. Hat hoopla, hat quizzes, photo booth…. we had a blast! 🥰 We hope our money helps in getting closer to a cure 🤩

Welcome back Onyx Class!

Well, what can I say? It’s been wonderful to have everyone back in Onyx class this week! The smiles, banter and fantastic team spirit are definitely what Mrs Coleman and I have missed! 😀

Wow what a busy term we have all had! The children have settled in so well and we have really enjoyed getting to know them. Here are just a few of this terms highlights!

Opal Class Team Day

Today in opal class we had a very creative and interesting team day!

We found out about gnomes who bring gifts at Christmas (if you remember their porridge), a fast food chain that has become a Christmas favourite in Japan and why children in Venezuela cover the sides of their bed in hay.

later in the day, we made and designed our own Christmas hats and put them through rigorous testing to make sure they were the right size and were stuck together securely (the only one to break belonged to Mr Delaney.
