What a wonderful afternoon we had today!
Emerald Class enjoyed another fantastic afternoon at Forest School with Mrs Ashley. We spent lots of time exploring the area, playing, laughing and working together.

This week during out Art lesson we learnt how to make prints using foam printing tiles. We had so much fun transferring our sunflower design onto the tile and then using rollers to evening spread the paint over the top. We were so pleased with how they turned out!
Miss Wade was having so much fun that she forgot to take more photos!!

Emerald Class loved using a range of media to create their own pointillism artwork!
Pointillism is a painting style, in which artists use small dots of colour that blend together into a picture when viewed from a distance. Georges Seurat is often credited with originating the style.
Check out our wonderful pieces!

Who is in the photo? Can you remember his name? 😀 🐈
How old is he?
Who is his owner (best friend!) ?
Secretly come and tell Miss Poppleton to earn 10 team points!!
Cross you fingers and toes that out lovely little bean plants grow well! We have been learning about what plants need to grow and survive. We have started an investigation into how bean plants grow and which conditions allow them to grow best. We have set up a bean plant to grow with sun and no water, water and no sun, and sun and water! Which do you think will grow best and why? 😀 🌱 🪴

We love exploring the nature up at forest school!

Today we practised how to run a relay race!! We were amazing and showed incredible team work!

This week in Science we have been looking at pollination and the different ways that pollination can happen. We looked at pollination through the air, through water and by a range of different animals.
We then took on the role of honey bees and used cotton buds to find pollen samples and transfer them from flower to flower. We also took rubbings from a range of plants to see what the pollen looked like. Unfortunately, the rain came before we could really get stuck in.

Secret task – 5 team points are on offer for everyone who has the part of the plant that produces pollen written in their diary!
