Final week of Forest School! 🌳☔️

Well the weather didn’t shine for us today at Forest School! Nevertheless, the children had a fantastic time building shelters, toasting marshmallows and enjoying each others company in the fresh air. 🔥☔️🌳

Unfortunately, today’s sessions marks the end of Forest School for Emerald Class for this year. The children have had a wonderful time over the last few weeks and a huge ‘thank you’ goes to Mrs Ashley for sharing the woodland area and teaching the class so many wonderful skills. The children are already looking forward to their next visit in the future! 🌳⭐️

🏃‍♂️🏃🎽Sports Day 2021🏃‍♂️🏃🎽

Wednesday was the day we got our PE kits on, got warmed up, dodged a bit of rain and got competitive: it was SPORTS DAY!!!! 🥳🥳👏👏

Onyx Class showed great teamwork, sportsmanship, determination and respect for others. They supported the younger children and their peers brilliantly; didn’t give up even when the going got tough and were excellent role models for the rest of the school.

The Sports Captains led both KS1 and KS2 Sports Days starting with a fabulous warm up and then organising the races superbly! It was a tough job sanitising everything, but they took it all in their stride!

To end the day, every child ran their team relay! A huge congratulations goes to Yellow team who were the overall winners in Onyx Class! A team trophy has been added to the board in the hall! A yummy ice lolly was enjoyed by all afterwards thanks to the PTA! 🤩

We can’t wait for next year….. 👟👟👟👟

Sports day

Yesterday we reached the most anticipated date on the sporting calendar. Sound and District Sports Day.

The sun was shining (at first), the crowd was full of energy and the athletes were ready and raring to go.

Each athlete competed in a sprint, the egg and spoon race, the hurdles and then a team relay. The athletes battled through adverse weather conditions throughout the day but all emerged as champions in the end.

Congratulations everybody.
