Topaz class enjoyed their Maths today outside in the long awaited sunshine. We spent time exploring symmetry in nature and then played a team relay race identifying symmetry in shapes.

As part of Team Day, Onyx Class had more extreme fun gardening! In their teams, they all had a specific spot to work on and look after including: planting a new flower bed; filling and planting wellies; planting a new hanging basket; raking and seeding the old vegetable patch; planting wild flowers and filling and planting 4 new containers.
Every single person showed outstanding determination, hard work and worked as a superb team player. 👏 Mrs Coleman and I were so proud of each team and were wowed by the improvements made from the day before! ❤️
Have a look at our finished areas- haven’t they done an amazing job?! 👍

Emerald Class loved coming together with the rest of the school to bid a fond farewell to Mrs Gould today. We celebrated with a picnic lunch where she was given cards, flowers and lots of beautiful gifts. We are very sad to say goodbye and will miss her wonderful cooking but wish her the best of luck in her retirement! 👩🏼🍳🤍
Thank you Mrs Gould x

Today we made our very own grass caterpillars using soil, grass seeds, tights and lots of teamwork! 😊
We can’t wait to see our caterpillars grow over the next few weeks! 😊 The hairier the better!!
Remember to check back for progress photos!

Today Ruby Class had lots of fun being Royal for the day! We looked amazing dressed up and even mastered a royal wave and walk! 😊
We had lots of fun writing letters to the Queen and designing our own Royal palaces! We were given a budget of £500 and had to design a palace fit for Queen! We did such a wonderful job and demonstrated amazing teamwork!
I am so proud of Ruby Class! ⭐️❤️ The perfect end to a super topic!

Topaz class had loads of fun this afternoon making and using string telephones. The sounds of ‘Testing, testing, 1,2,3’ and ‘Can you hear me?’ filled the air! Giggles all round, while learning lots about how sound travels.

We are so excited to be able to finally share our wonderful news with you all…… 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Padme, Mrs Booth’s beautiful Golden Retriever will be joining us in school after half term as our very own well-being dog! We are all looking forward to spending time with her and seeing all the fabulous ways she will be supporting the children across the school! 🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮
Keep an eye out for some more woof-dates! ….. 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Finally, the sun came out and Onyx Class got stuck into reviving and rejuvenating the entrance area to school.
Each team worked really hard trimming, chopping, digging, scraping, weeding and brushing. We even painted the fence and found a Chafer grub! Everyone showed superb resilience and great team work. We can’t wait for a spot of planting tomorrow! 🌱🌱🌱🌱

Hip hip hooray, the sun came out to play! ☀️ What a difference a day makes.
Ruby class had lots of fun in the sun this afternoon. We made tasty bird feeders for the local birds to enjoy, we had great fun exploring nature in our wildlife area and we enjoyed pulling out some giant weeds!
We hope the birds enjoy the tasty treats we left them! 🦅

Topaz class were determined to finish tidying up the front of school today. With great enthusiasm and hard work, they armed themselves with spades, forks, gloves, buckets and got stuck in. I think you’ll agree they’ve done a FANTASTIC job !!
