Topaz had a brilliant session this afternoon with Nantwich Rugby 🏉 Club learning about dodging, tackling, tries and throwing. Throwing backwards was the hardest thing to grasp but they had great fun trying.

Emerald Class had a wonderful taster session with Crewe and Nantwich Rugby Club this morning! The children played lots of games, enjoyed completing lots of obstacles and learnt how to pass correctly.
Look out for a flyer about the local club in the newsletter on Friday!
Wow Diamonds! We had a great rugby session today learning and practising lots of skills! Diamond class loved it! James B said our session was ‘magnificent’ and Juliana said it was ‘amazing’! It was super fun!
We played lots of rugby games, one of our favourites being ‘Stuck in the mud’, except we had to be turtles if we got caught! Did you know Diamond Class make some excellent turtles!? 😃
We also spent time discussing which sports and games we like to play! Diamond class play lots of different sports including football, cricket, swimming, tennis, horse riding, swimming and many more! We wrote about what we like to do.
We love to stay fit and healthy! We enjoy playing sports because:
On Friday, Emerald Class celebrated French Week! 🤩 The children listened to French music, learnt the colours of the rainbow in French 🌈 and learnt about the Tour de France! 🚵🏻
Onyx Class had a wail of a time on Friday playing the games they made for homework.
Their mission: to design a game to be played with one other person of similar ability to test their use of appropriate connectives!
There were so many fantastically unique ideas, lots of colourful and fun resources and laughter certainly filled the air! The mission was definitely complete! ⭐️
Great work guys & your evaluations were even better! Well done! 👍
Ruby Class had the best time at Forest School this week. It really is the highlight of our week, we are so lucky to get to enjoy nature every Friday afternoon!
We really focussed on our teamwork skills this week. We learned that not all games are a race to be first! Some games are based on teamwork! 😊 We demonstrated wonderful teamwork in ‘The Floor is Lava” game in which we had to travel across the lava using only the equipment we had (2 tyres and 2 planks of woods). We had to get the whole team across the lava without anyone falling off!
We also had lots of fun making our own water filtration system! We started with dirty water and had to come up with a natural filter in the woods to make it cleaner. We learned that things like moss really helped to clean the water! Once again we showed incredible teamwork! 😊👫👨🏾🤝👨🏽
