Thank you! ⭐️ Kindness ❤️

Thank you to all the children in Diamond Class who have done something kind to put a smile on someone else’s face this week! 🥰

Spreading kindness is the most wonderful thing we can do. Diamond Class are so kind! ⭐️💎😊

We’ve had delicious biscuits brought into school to spread kindness and to put smiles on people’s faces. ☺️❤️😊We’ve had children donating toys to the Samaritans. ✨😀 We’ve had children making each other lovely cards to spread happiness! We’ve even awarded good friend awards to each other in class when we have shown kindness and have been a great friend too! 🏅

Some happy photos from the week…. We hope they make you smile! ⭐️

💎🦸‍♀️Spectacular Superheroes! 🦸🏾‍♂️💎

This week started our new superheroes 🦸‍♀️ mini topic and wow what fun we’ve had already!! 🤩

We are loving this new mini topic and we have learned lots about our own super powers! 🦸🏾‍♂️ We are brave. We are kind. We are courageous. We are great friends. We spread smiles and laughter! ⭐️

If you could have any super power what would it be and why? ☺️ talk to your families to find out which special powers they would love to have! 🙋🏽

So far we’ve rescued captured superheroes by untangling them so they can save the day! This activity really helps our fingers! 😊

We’ve had SO much fun using our imaginations at Superheroville this week too! 🦸🏾‍♂️🦸‍♀️⭐️🤩 Superheroville was attacked by a group of angry dinosaurs 🦕 so our superheroes were tasked with saving the day! We talked about how our superheroes could use their special powers to save the day! 💎 look at those smiles!

We’ve also had lots of fun being superhero name writers this week too! We practised our letters and wrote our names beautifully. Tomorrow we are going to come up with our own special superhero names!! ✨ ❤️💙💛

Please check back tomorrow to see what other super activities we get up to! 🤩✨

Ruby Class Belong!

Ruby Class had a wonderful afternoon with Mrs Huntbach in RE. The children have been thinking about the concept of ‘belonging’. Today they brought in objects that represented what they belonged to! It’s fantastic to see all that the children do and where they feel they belong!

Thank you for a great lesson, Mrs Huntbach! ❤️

Everyday Materials! 🚘🚶‍♀️

Ruby Class had great fun out and about looking for materials and their uses! ☺️

We talked about why certain materials are used to make things and why it wouldn’t be sensible to use others. We learnt that ‘for sale’ signs are made of plastic and discussed why cardboard wouldn’t be a good idea because it isn’t waterproof. We also spoke about why greenhouses are made of glass to allow for light to flow through for the plants growing.

Excellent discussions and understanding Ruby Class!

One Kind Word

This week is national anti-bullying week and the theme for the week is one kind word.

As a class we had a think about what kind words or phrases we could use to try and make someones day a little bit brighter.

We thought about complimenting someone, using our manners, telling someone to have a nice day, sharing with people and asking if people are ok.

We then added these to our flipchart as a reminder throughout the week.

How can you make someones day a little brighter this week?

Forest school

This week at forest school we looked at mini-beasts and where you would find them! We searched high and low and recorded our findings in our specially made wildlife journals.

The children found lots of interesting creatures and critters and were very intruiged when they found slug eggs hiding under the matting in the mud kitchen.

BLOG TASK!!!!!

For this weeks blog task, I would like you to look around your house for something that could be recycled and turned into a bird house or bird feeder and bring it in to school with you so we can make bird feeders in our next forest school session.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING WITHOUT YOUR PARENTS PERMISSION!

🔴🟢Ruby Class Blog Challenge No. 3 🔵🟡

This week is Anti-Bullying week and the theme this year is ‘One Kind Word’. We can’t wait to participate in the kindness challenge and see all the different ways we can spread kindness! Ruby Class, are such a kind and caring class and show wonderful examples of kindness every single day! ⭐️

Here is our Kindness challenge for this week for use at home and in school. I wonder if you can complete them all?! 😊

Challenge:

I would like you design an eye catching poster to encourage everyone to be kind! Hopefully we can display the best ones in the classroom to remind us each day to be extra kind!

Onyx Class Challenge- Week 3- Kindness ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

This week is Anti-Bullying week and the theme this year is ‘One Kind Word’. Today in our whole school assembly we looked at how we can spread kindness and how it can create a ripple effect (a bit like a Mexican wave!)

For your challenge this week, I have given everyone a Kindness Challenge (in our communication diaries)-we want to try and spread kindness to everyone, both at home and in school. So, see how many acts of kindness you can do each day from the list and it would be even more fabulous if you could think of some of your own to do as well. Once you have done one, share what you did with your parents and ask them to sign your Kindness Chart. See how many you can do each day….. one isn’t enough! Let’s really spread this kindness! ♥️

Finally, on Thursday evening, ask you parents to write a short paragraph explaining all the wonderful acts of kindness they have seen you do at home. Bring this in on Friday and we will make the ripple even bigger by sharing all your wowness with the rest of the class!

Good luck and remember…. Kindness doesn’t cost a thing!

💛💚Diamond Class Blog Challenge 3! 💙❤️-Kindness ♥️

This week is Anti-Bullying week and the theme this year is ‘One Kind Word’. So this week our blog challenge is based on kindness. Being kind is the most important thing we can be. ☺️ Diamond Class spread kindness every single day! ✨

This week I would love you to spread kindness wherever we go! 😊 Can you complete 1 or 2 or maybe even 3 of the kindness tasks in the challenge below? I bet you can Diamond Class! 💎 Make sure you come and tell Miss Poppleton all about the tasks you have completed. The team who complete the most will win a trophy in Friday’s assembly remember! 😊 🏆

If you would like to think of your own kindness challenges instead then this is absolutely fine! 😊

Extra challenges! ❤️✨💎

If you manage to complete the kindness chart or are looking for a different challenge you may want to complete another kindness activity such as talking to an adult about what kindness means to you or making a kindness pebble or postcard. You may even wish to create a kindness poster to share in our classroom! 😊 The choice is entirely yours and feel free to be as creative as you like!

And remember to be kind always! ❤️☺️💎
