🎄Christmas Fair🎄

Year 5&6 had a fantastic time this afternoon running their own stalls at the Christmas Fair. Despite the wind and rain and quick change of location, they worked superbly as a team, came up with brilliantly creative ideas and grew in confidence over the time.

A huge thank you goes to all the parents who helped the stalls to be such a success, bought prizes and also came and supported us. You are very much appreciated!

Well done Year 5&6- you learnt a lot and did yourselves proud! Ho, ho, ho!

💷 Money Madness! 💷

Ruby Class have been getting stuck into their new Maths topic this week! ❤️

We have spent lots of time exploring the different coins we use and how to make different amounts. We LOVED playing shops and taking it in turns to pay for different items around the classroom!

🔴🟢 Ruby Class Blog Challenge No. 5 🔵🟡

Ruby Class are so lucky to be able to link up with Hayley from Farmer Time, an initiative which hopes to inspire, engage and educate young people about the journey from farm to fork and the ever-changing diversity of farming.

On Tuesday, spent lots of time asking Hayley lots of questions about life on her farm. She talked to us about the animals she keeps, how she got into farming and her family. She told us all about her newest addition to the farm… her kitten!

Hayley would like us to come up with the perfect name for her kitten so this weeks blog challenge is just that!

Choose a name you think would suit the kitten best and bring your answers to Miss Wade by Friday 3rd December.

Hayley will choose the perfect name when we next catch up with her!

Road safety week 2021

Last week was Road Safety week which was a great opportunity for us to talk about road safety and raise funds to help the Brake campaign for safer roads and support for families affected by road crashes.

We started road safety week with Mr Delaney sharing his favorite road safety videos and adverts from when he was a child. An example is shown below

The children were then set a challenge to create a script or voice over for a TV road safety campaign of their own which would run during road safety week. The themes were

  • The green cross code
  • Safety in and around cars
  • Walking in the dark
  • Cycling safety

The children went above and beyond with their hard work and created some TV worth masterpieces. A few examples are shown below.

Well done everyone! I can see some children finding their way into the advertising world in the near future.
