National Gardening Week

Topaz class have been exceptionally productive this morning at the start of Gardening Week. Our area is the front of school so our first job was to weed, scrape, tidy and collect all the weeds and debris that has accumulated over the last few years.

As you can see by the pictures, the children have started off fantastically and are looking forward to continuing our tidying up tomorrow. Well done Topaz class !!

How can we connect with nature?

This afternoon, during our PSHE session Topaz class spent time thinking of ways we could connect with nature at home, school and outside. The children came up with some fantastic ideas and shared them in their groups with the rest of the class. We then looked at a range of situations and thought about how the people living in different ways could connect with nature.
