Topaz Totem Poles

This morning, Topaz class worked hard to create their creatures for our class totem poles. They worked with a partner to plan and put together their masterpieces and the results are amazing!

I have had a fabulous two days meeting all of the wonderful children at Sound and know that we will be the best of friends!

🐶 Woof Date- what have you been up to this weekend? 🐶

I’ve had a great weekend climbing with Mum and Dad at The Roaches. I love smelling the fresh air and talking to all the other people walking by!

Whilst I was enjoying myself, I couldn’t help but wander what all my friends at Sound have been doing this weekend….

I’d love it if you could chat to me about your weekend when we meet this week, or, if you can’t wait that long, why don’t you draw me a picture or write me a note and post it in my letter box? I can’t wait to hear all about you!

🐶Woof date-my first day!🐶

What a busy two days it’s been!

I’m the orange one… look how tiny I was!

On Monday, mum said that she was sharing lots of pictures of me with all the children in an assembly, including some that were when I was a puppy! How embarrassing! Then today, I had my first trip into school. It was amazing! I didn’t get to spend time with any children, but mum says I will when I’ve been in a lot more and got used to being at school (us dogs don’t usually go to school to learn things, but I’m really excited to be able to go in now- there’s so much I want to know!)

I have a brand new bed, my water bowl and a special place in the new entrance area just for me. It’s quiet and peaceful and I even have my own postbox that the children keep putting things in especially for me! It’s like Christmas! I can’t wait to read them all with mum later! I’ve started to learn lots of names and can’t wait to get to spend lots of time helping children with their reading. Mum says we can even do some writing, maths and lots of other things together…. Yippee!

I’m off to snuggle up with my brothers and sisters (the 4 cats) and dream of all the wonderful children at Sound School-my new family!

Snuggling up with the cats is one of my favourite things!

Drifting Away with the Dreamy Dream Catchers

This afternoon in Topaz Class we have been working on our Dream Catchers, adding an explosion of colour! We hope you like our masterpieces!

A HUGE well done to all of our Year 4&5 children who have spent the past two days pedalling away in sun. ☀️

Each and everyone of them tried really hard practising their skills, gaining new ones and understanding how to cycle on today’s roads. Hopefully now they will be able to stay fit and healthy whilst making sure they are safe. ⭐️

Thank you to the wonderful Bikeability team, to parents for struggling with bikes in boots and for Mrs Cotterell for organising!

Signs of Symmetry

Topaz class enjoyed their Maths today outside in the long awaited sunshine. We spent time exploring symmetry in nature and then played a team relay race identifying symmetry in shapes.

Sounds of Science at Sound

Topaz class had loads of fun this afternoon making and using string telephones. The sounds of ‘Testing, testing, 1,2,3’ and ‘Can you hear me?’ filled the air! Giggles all round, while learning lots about how sound travels.

Padme, Mrs Booth’s beautiful Golden Retriever will be joining us in school after half term as our very own well-being dog! We are all looking forward to spending time with her and seeing all the fabulous ways she will be supporting the children across the school! 🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮
