I’ve had a great weekend climbing with Mum and Dad at The Roaches. I love smelling the fresh air and talking to all the other people walking by!

Whilst I was enjoying myself, I couldn’t help but wander what all my friends at Sound have been doing this weekend….

I’d love it if you could chat to me about your weekend when we meet this week, or, if you can’t wait that long, why don’t you draw me a picture or write me a note and post it in my letter box? I can’t wait to hear all about you!

Lots of love,
Padme 🐾
Ruby Class had lots of fun playing time board games on Thursday! We are doing brilliantly with learning to tell the time. We have looked at o ‘clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to! 😊
Challenge: Find a clock around the house! Can you tell the time it shows? 🕰⏰ Remember what we have learned about the minute hand! ⭐️

We had SO much fun at Forest School this week!! We built mountains, rivers and seas using nature! We demonstrated amazing team work!! 😀😀

Today Ruby Class learned all about the flags we see at the beach as part of Drowning Prevention Week 2021.
We had lots of fun playing a game in the sunshine to help us remember what each of the flags mean!
I wonder if anyone in Ruby Class can tell their families what each of the flags mean? ⭐️

What a busy two days it’s been!

On Monday, mum said that she was sharing lots of pictures of me with all the children in an assembly, including some that were when I was a puppy! How embarrassing! Then today, I had my first trip into school. It was amazing! I didn’t get to spend time with any children, but mum says I will when I’ve been in a lot more and got used to being at school (us dogs don’t usually go to school to learn things, but I’m really excited to be able to go in now- there’s so much I want to know!)

I have a brand new bed, my water bowl and a special place in the new entrance area just for me. It’s quiet and peaceful and I even have my own postbox that the children keep putting things in especially for me! It’s like Christmas! I can’t wait to read them all with mum later! I’ve started to learn lots of names and can’t wait to get to spend lots of time helping children with their reading. Mum says we can even do some writing, maths and lots of other things together…. Yippee!

I’m off to snuggle up with my brothers and sisters (the 4 cats) and dream of all the wonderful children at Sound School-my new family!

Night night!
Lots of love,
Padme 🐾
Can you crack the time riddle below?
When you know the correct answer, come and let Miss Poppleton know (super quietly of course!!) 🤗🤫. Correct answers will be awarded with a prize!! 🎈How exciting?!
Good luck Rubies!! ⭐️

Today Ruby class started learning how to tell the time. We learned that the big hand is the minute hand and the short hand is the hour hand. We can now all tell the time to the hour! (o’clock). To help us learn we played games, drew clocks in chalk and tested our partners on their time telling skills!
We had lots of fun and already can’t wait to learn how to tell the time to the nearest 5 minutes!! ⏰ 🕰
Well done Ruby Class!! 😊

FUN FACT: Did you know Ruby Class measure 2366cm in total!? 😀
Well neither did we… until today! ⭐️ We had great fun measuring all the members of Ruby Class! We each took it in turn to measure 📏 our partners, we recorded the results and then added everyone’s results together.
We demonstrated incredible problem solving skills today! 😊 🤔 💭
Well done Rubies!! ❤️

Wow!!!
What an amazing afternoon Ruby Class had up in Forest School! 💚
We explored nature, habitats, insects, built dens, role played, climbed trees and much, much more!! We were all smiling from ear to ear all afternoon! We finished our session off with an exciting water squirting game!!
We demonstrated amazing resilience, team work and kind and caring attitudes towards each other but also the animals and insects that live in the forest. 🐜 🕷 🐞
We LOVE Forest School! 😀❤️🌳
