🌍 The 7 Continents! 🌍

Ruby Class have been busy this afternoon recapping their knowledge of the seven continents.

The children used a map, dice and counters to take it in turns to locate the seven continents on the map. Look how much fun they had!

The children also played snap and matched the names of the continents to the correct picture.

Use this super song to help you recall the names of each continent. I think I’ll be singing it in my sleep tonight! 😴 🎶

🦖🦕 A Roarsome Start! 🦖🦕

Today we started our new Geography and History topic for the half term… Jurassic Forest!

The children were very excited about our topic and shared lots of knowledge and questions!

We used the papier-mâché technique to create our own dinosaur eggs! It was definitely a messy lesson!!

Check back next week to see the finished product. 🦕🦖

❤️ Welcome Rubies! ❤️

Mrs Huntbach and I were delighted to welcome back the new Ruby Class! We all had such a fantastic day with lots of smiles, chatting and laughing! 🤩

In English, we spent lots of time talking and drawing all of the wonderful things we did over the summer holidays. It sounds like all of the children enjoyed lots of exciting adventures!! ❤️

❤️ Woof Date: I’m sooo excited to see you! ❤️

Hello my fabulous Sound Family,

I hope you’ve had an amazing summer! I’ve been super busy playing with the cats; helping with the extension; going on lots of walks; being groomed and spending lots of time with my family!!! 😎

Waiting in the car ready to come to school…

Mum has just cleaned the car out which is making me jump up and down with joy as I know it can only mean one thing: seeing all of you again on Thursday! 😍 I have missed you all soo much and I can not wait to sit down with you and listen to all the exciting things you have been doing (whilst being stroked & cuddled of course!) I am especially excited to meet the new Reception children and make even more friends-WELCOME TO THE SOUND FAMILY! Yey! 🤩

I’m soo happy to be seeing my Sound friends again!

Padme’s Postbox Challenge: This week in my postbox I’d like you to draw a picture or write to me about what makes you smile! 😄 I smile when I see my friends and when you tickle me behind my right ear! Remember to add in lots of details and colour… I can’t wait to get reading!

Lots of lots,

Padme 🐾

⭐️Y6 Superstar Leavers⭐️

The day had finally come…. the last day before Y6 moved onto High School! What a day it has been!

First up, the whole school managed to get outside in the glorious sun where we held a whole school presentation ceremony. The leavers received their thesauruses and their memory books and we presented our Sports Personality and Progress Plate.

A HUGE congratulations goes to Callum for Sports Personality and Evie for gaining the plate. We are really proud of them, as we are of them all! 🤩

Next, we managed a socially distanced T-shirt signing session where every class wrote some special words on the children’s shirts whilst enjoying the outdoors. We have never used so many wipes and sanitiser, but it was all worth it and the 6’s will treasure these forever! Will’s even getting his framed!

Finally, all the children in the school had great fun watching the wonderful Leavers’ Assembly. There were lots of laughs and a LOT of tears (in Onyx Class!) We hope all the Year 6 families enjoyed the ham and Peppa Pig as much as we did, & didn’t sob too much at the end?!

We wish all our Year 6 children the most amazing future: keep smiling, keep being you and go get ‘em!

Happy Summer everyone! 😎
