🏃‍♂️🏃🎽Sports Day 2021🏃‍♂️🏃🎽

Wednesday was the day we got our PE kits on, got warmed up, dodged a bit of rain and got competitive: it was SPORTS DAY!!!! 🥳🥳👏👏

Onyx Class showed great teamwork, sportsmanship, determination and respect for others. They supported the younger children and their peers brilliantly; didn’t give up even when the going got tough and were excellent role models for the rest of the school.

The Sports Captains led both KS1 and KS2 Sports Days starting with a fabulous warm up and then organising the races superbly! It was a tough job sanitising everything, but they took it all in their stride!

To end the day, every child ran their team relay! A huge congratulations goes to Yellow team who were the overall winners in Onyx Class! A team trophy has been added to the board in the hall! A yummy ice lolly was enjoyed by all afterwards thanks to the PTA! 🤩

We can’t wait for next year….. 👟👟👟👟

👏Mrs Booth’s Team Challenge👏

Today I am setting you a Team Challenge!

Answer the Riddles below and the FIRST team where ALL the team members bring me the answers (and workings) will win this weeks prize! 🏆🎖🥇🏅

Riddle ☝️: A merchant can place 8 large boxes or 10 small boxes into a carton for shipping. In one shipment, he sent a total of 96 boxes. If there are more large boxes than small boxes, how many cartons did he ship?

Riddle ✌️: A farmer is trying to cross a river. He is taking with him a rabbit, carrots and a fox and he has a small raft. He can only bring 1 item a time across the river because the raft can only fit with the rabbit, the carrots or the fox. How does he cross the river (you can assume that the fox does not eat the rabbit if the man is present. You can also assume that the fox and the rabbit are not trying to escape and run away)?

Riddle 3️⃣: If 9999=4, 8888=8, 1212=0 then 1919=

Good luck everyone! 😄

⭐️Wow wow wow wow! ⭐️

After a morning of team discussions, delegation, sharing and collaboration, our Coral reefs were finally finished! What do you think?!

Afterwards, we discussed how our teams had worked: what was effective and what they could have improved. We then evaluated our directors! We learnt that sometimes you need to step up and lead by showing and directing, other times you need to empower your team and get them to buy into what you are doing by working more as a team of equals, and other times you need to do a combination, depending on who your team are and what they are doing.

Onyx class were fantastic! Mrs Booth is so so proud of you all! 👍
