A beautiful Autumn wander!๐Ÿชต๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ๐Ÿฆ”

Today Diamond Class wrapped up nice and warm and went on a lovely Autumn walk. We were searching for signs of Autumn around our school grounds. We noticed that lots of the leaves on the trees were starting to change colour. We spotted yellow, orange, brown and red leaves on the trees and the ground.๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚

We also took a trip to our orchard and picked some lovely apples! ๐ŸŽ ๐Ÿ We canโ€™t wait to make some delicious apple treats this week!

๐ŸŸข๐Ÿ”ตTEAM CAPTAINS ๐Ÿ”ด๐ŸŸก

A few weeks ago, the Year 6 pupils wrote and delivered their own speeches to the rest of their team stating why they should be chosen to be a Team Captain, Sports Captain or Recycling Officer.

They explained what qualities they had and how these would help their team to be successful this year.

After listening to the speeches, every team member (from Reception to Year 5) had the really hard task of choosing which role suited which Year 6. Each team used democratic votes to decide who would get to wear which shiny, new badge! ๐Ÿ›ก

Thank you to all the members of staff who got stuck in and supported their teams beautifully! We canโ€™t wait to see all the teamwork thatโ€™s going to go on this year!

Smashing Stick Insects! ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿชณ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿฆ—

We have exciting news!!! ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ’Ž

We now have 6 stick insects to love and look after.

I bet you would love to know their names?โ€ฆ

Well we have Iron Man (our first born), Mini, Steve, Ripper, Sticken and Sticky ( a very original choice!). All names were voted for fairly using a whole class vote system. Each time we vote we learn about democracy and what it means to be fair. Diamond Class are amazing at this! ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ’Ž๐Ÿ’™

If you have any great names you would like to suggest for future stick insect arrivals then leave a comment below and we will take a vote on them! ๐Ÿ˜€ Thank you.

Challenge: How many can you spot in the picture? They love to hide!!! ๐Ÿ”Ž๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ

๐Ÿฅฐ Buddy Time! ๐Ÿฅฐ

On Friday Reception Class met their special Year 6 buddies for the very first time! We absolutely loved getting to know our buddies and already canโ€™t wait to spend more time with them next Friday!

We loved showing our buddies around our classroom and getting to know them by asking them questions such as what is their favourite colour and favourite toys! ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ’™

We will be meeting our buddies every Friday afternoon for 20minutes! ๐Ÿ˜€
