A Magical Muddle! 🪄🧙

Diamond Class had a wonderful time reading the story ‘A Magical Muddle’ today. The story taught us all about trying our best! We learned that it doesn’t matter if we make mistakes, what’s most important is that we try our best and give things a go! 😊 In fact making mistakes makes us all better learners.

Challenge: Diamonds, could you tell your family what happens in the story? 😊

Following the story we had a go at retelling our favourite parts of the story using stick puppets! 😊 We loved this!!! And our spell making was superb!! 🪄 ✨

Happy Halloween!!! 🧡🎃

Well, what a week Diamond Class have had! 💎 We have absolutely loved getting spooky and taking part in lots of Halloween fun.

We’ve explored Halloween sensory bins! Yuck!

Made pumpkins on the light box!

Made spooky spiders in play-dough!

Explored creepy crawlies in jelly!

Made a haunted house!

Counted pumpkin seeds and spiders legs!

Cracked frozen hands!!

Learned about rhyming words and how to count really well! And so so much more! 😀😀😀

Have a look at us in action below! 👀

Kings! 👑

On Friday Diamond Class had a super discussion about God. We discussed how it’s okay for people to believe in different things and that we must respect and be kind about the things people believe in and feel are important. 😊

We learned that God is important to lots of people! We learned that Christians believe God to be a King. To mark our learning we made super, special, sparkly crowns!

We had so much fun! 👑😊😀❤️

🌻⭐️💛Hello Yellow! 💛⭐️🌻

Today was Hello Yellow day and we all wore something yellow/bright to celebrate Mental Health Day and to raise money for young minds.

Diamond class had a lovely discussion about their feelings and how we can look after our feelings. We learned that we all have things that make us feel really happy.

“I love going in the bath”- Ewan 😊 “I love baking cakes!”- Taylor 😊 “I love playing on my bike!” – Jon 😊

We also talked about other feelings we have and identified feelings from pictures. We discussed that it’s okay to feel sad, scared, lonely and angry too sometimes and that everyone feels these different emotions sometimes. We learned that if we do feel this way, we can look after our feelings by doing something to cheer ourselves up like playing our favourite game, reading our favourite books or having a cuddle with a loved one! ☺️💛

We decided yellow was the colour of happiness! We read a story all about our feelings and we did some baking to put big smiles on our faces! 🎂 We loved gobbling up our apple crumble!

Harvest Assembly! 🍁💛🧡❤️

We had a wonderful morning with the lovely Kathryn from the chapel today. Kathryn came to talk to us about Harvest! We learned that God created lots of amazing and important things such as people, sunshine, food, animals and much more! We made a Harvestingle to remember everything we had learned 😀

Thank you Kathryn, we loved seeing you! ⭐️

We also want to also say a big thank you to all the farmers for providing us with wonderful crops to eat! 🚜

Amazing Apple Crumble! 🍎🍏

Today Diamond Class had lots of fun making an apple crumble with the apples we collected on our Autumn walk. We worked as a team to create the tasty treat! We learned why it is important to wash our hands before we start cooking and how to be safe around knives. Diamond Class were amazing at cooking! I suspect this will be the first of many tasty treats this year! 😀💎
