Wear a hat day 🎩⛑🧢🪖👒

Last Friday, the whole school took part in Wear a Hat day. The aim was to raise money for Brain Tumour Research.

Mrs Booth spoke to all the children in assembly about a little girl, India, who she used to teach. She explained that India had had a brain tumour wrapped around her Optic Nerve and that no one in the world would attempt to operate on it. Mrs Booth shared how in the end, thanks to Brain Tumour research, one doctor had tried to help India. Even though she wasn’t cured, the surgery gave her a better life and helped her to be able to do things she couldn’t do before.

Thank you to everyone who helped support this wonderful charity 🙏

Stick Insect strokes!

Today Diamond class finally got to hold the stick insects if we wanted to! We have been waiting for them to become adults so that they’re less breakable and they’re finally ready!

We talked about why they have red legs, what they eat and drink and how we look after them! The children had the chance to hold them if they wanted and lots were a little nervous but tried anyway!

Fair trade Brownies!

Today Diamond Class have been busy cooking up super yummy fair trade gluten free brownies! The children have been busy weighing, measuring, mixing and folding to make a delicious treat for you all to enjoy at home! We found out all about the importance of buying fair trade when we can and how it means that families can afford to live a better life because of us 🥰

Diamond Bear is missing!

Over the weekend poor diamond class had a burglary! Those thieves took our lovely bear ☹️ but luckily our handy detectives found lots of clues and we even found cctv evidence so we could write a brilliant description of the thief! We’re pleased to say that Diamond Bear has been returned with a very apologetic note!
