We LOVED playing Boccia!
Boccia is a disability sport that tests muscle control and accuracy. The game focuses on precision and the aim is to get your ball as closes to the white target ball as possible.
Great work Emerald Class! 💚

We are so proud of the children’s independent reading in Topaz class. It is a pleasure catching up with their favourite reads every week and see them submerse themselves in a good book to rewind after lunch.
These children have achieved fantastic results becoming double millionaires, millionaires and half millionaires word count readers !! Well done !!

Desperate to know what the Y6’s have planned for their Leaver’s assembly?
Here are a few juicy hints to keep you guessing….

Well, we may have just found our new favourite sport!!!! 😁☺️ We had bundles of fun learning to play Boccia today! Boccia is a target ball sport which tests both muscle control and accuracy! We worked hard to improve our ball control throughout the session and we were so proud with our progress! 😊
⭐️ We had big smiley faces all round! 😁⭐️
We ❤️ Boccia!

Ruby Class had great fun learning to use directional language today! Our mission was to navigate our partner around the playground and cones using instructions. We used the language: forwards, backwards, left, right, clockwise, anti-clockwise and half and quarter turns to navigate our friends around safely! 😊😊 Well done Rubies! You were amazing as always! ⭐️

Can you believe after all our hard work revamping the garden area at the front of school a few weeks ago, that the weeds had made a sneaky comeback? 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱
Well, they were no match for our amazing, green-fingered Year 5s who got to work today to help the flowers breathe again! Phew!!!Thank you guys-great job! 🙏

To add to the sporting theme of National Sports Week, the Year 5s had great fun this morning consolidating their co-ordinates learning in Active Maths!
At first they found it really tough, but with some brilliant teamwork and amazing resilience they all totally smashed it! 💪
Well done everyone! 😃

This morning was AMAZING!

First of all we were presented with our ‘It’s Your Move’ books that have been kindly donated by Sound and Broomhall chapel! A huge thank you to Mr and Mrs Taylor! ❤️
We shared the things we are excited about and also the things that are worrying us. We realised that it is natural to be a little bit anxious about change. We discussed lots of things to help us like: asking for help if we are lost, packing our bags the night before and making lists of the things we need each day.

After this, we logged into a LIVE Zoom session with Mr Mottram from Brine Leas and all the other Primary Schools in Nantwich. How cool is that! We even spotted some of our friends from other schools on there! 🤝

Next up, we took part in a Drama session with Miss Dunning to learn how lessons will be structured at High School and the kind of things we will be learning about.
We learnt that a still image is a frozen picture that tells a story. We used this drama skill in a team performance, working hard to use different levels, to choose a good focal point, show effective facial expressions, use strong body language and to think about the ‘w’s- who, what, where, when and why. Both teams worked incredibly hard and improved in leaps and bounds! Have a look at them in action! Wow! 😎🤩

We are really looking forward to taking part in more virtual lessons this week! Engineering, media and food…. life couldn’t get any better! 😃
Year 6s-the High Schools are very lucky to be having you! You make me soo proud! 🌟🌟
Diamond class loved meeting Harry from Cheshire Cricket! They learnt how to use their bats to accurately hit the ball and worked to improve their fielding skills too! The children were amazing at hitting the stump and worked brilliantly as a team. Well done Diamonds 💎
