Diamond class really do love gymnastics! Look at those smiley faces 😀😀😀
We practised lots of stretches and got really good at doing tucks. We had to work super hard to keep our knees together and to not drop the beanbag!
We then completed an exciting circuit of activities and finished with some super bouncing! 😀🤸♀️🥰

This week Diamond Class have learnt all about Remembrance Day. We have learned about the brave soldiers who went to battle for us many, many years ago.

Today we had a wonderful Remembrance Day assembly with our whole school led by Onyx class (Year 5/6). We then went outside to our flagpole and lay a Remembrance wreath and showed our respect with a 2 minute silence. Following this we had some super Year 6’s come and read us some beautiful remembrance poetry. They read their poems off by heart and with lovely loud and clear voices. We were super proud of them all and have them lots of good feedback! 😀✏️⭐️

Our wonderful Class Remembrance Colour Poem! 😀
Today in Topaz Class we worked really hard to make frame structures for the start of our DT project. The aim was to build the most structurally sound construction without eating all the marshmallows!!!!
Did you know that without the Victorians the world would be a very different place?
To end our explanation text writing, Onyx Class wrote their own pieces based on ‘Why the Victorians are important in our history?’
Here are a few examples of their final, published pieces of work. I’m sure you’ll agree that the children have worked incredibly hard on them! Well done everyone!
Wow! Wow! Wow! Ruby Class were amazed this morning when a very special visitor walked in to our classroom!
We were all blown away when Belle from Beauty and the Beast came in! She was so kind! We enjoyed listening to her read (she loves reading), sing and we even got to ask her lots of questions! ❤️💛

We had such a magical visit and we learnt how much Belle loves to read! Emerald Class loved to hear the story of Beauty and the Beast and they joined in beautifully with some singing too! The children loved to tell Belle how much they love to read for pleasure too! It was so much fun talking to Belle!

Today, Topaz class have travelled back in time to 500 AD to experience life as an Anglo Saxon.
We have learnt how to weave , make flour and most terrifyingly how to fight as Shield Maidens and Warriors.

As you are aware Remembrance Day is held on the 11th November each year. It is a time when we remember all those who have died since the First World War.

This morning Diamond Class got to meet the very beautiful Princess Belle!! 😀😀😀 Wow we are so lucky! 👑
She came to visit us to read us a story, sing with us and let us ask her lots of exciting questions! We enjoyed telling her all about our special hobbies, pets, friends and family and we loved hearing all about her magical castle and Beast! 😀
We loved her beautiful singing voice and how kind she was! 😀 She put the biggest smile on all of our faces this morning and we just didn’t want her to leave!
