These 4 brilliant bookworms have earned themselves their very own PJ day today. They did this by reading and quizzing on their Accelerated Reader books each day, earning themselves a MASSIVE 50+ points. Wow wow wow! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

🎶Recorders 🎶

Onyx class are loving learning how to play the Recorder with Mrs Kyle. So far they have learnt how to play the notes G, B and A and have worked hard to cover the whole hole with their fingers and switch fingers quickly but carefully.

We can’t wait to hear how they get on over the rest of the half term! 🎵🎵🎵

We have loved the first few days of our space topic! I can’t believe how much the children know all about space and planets. We can’t wait to see where this adventure through space will take us 😀🪐

Eggsellent Eggsperiment 🥚

Today we had lots of fun investigating which material would be most suitable to protect an egg when it is dropped from a height! 🍳🥚

Human and Physical Features

Ruby Class have been learning all about Human and Physical geographical features. The children had lots of fun identifying which sorting cards were a physical feature of Africa and which ones were human.

The Ndebeles 🎨🖌

This half term Ruby Class will be learning all about Africa! To get us into the groove we learnt about the Ndebele tribe and how they paint their houses with brightly coloured shapes and patterns. Each painting has its own meaning.

We created our own Ndebele house paintings. Take a look at the children in action below!

Improper Fractions and Mixed Numbers

Topaz class thoroughly enjoyed their Maths starter this morning as they were playing a game that helped them practise recording Improper Fractions and Mixed Numbers.

We are all looking forward to getting stuck into: our new topic- The North and South Pole; starting our persuasive writing unit based on Anthony Horowitz’ Stormbreaker and getting stuck into our Francais, Computing and Music learning!

We are also really excited about our Accelerated Reader challenge this term. Points =prizes and we are all aiming for a special end of year treat if we earn 100 or more points! 🎉🎉🎉
