Today we practised how to run a relay race!! We were amazing and showed incredible team work!

Year 2 acting out the story ‘The Papaya that Spoke’- they were incredible actors!!

Year 2 learning how to show quarters in fractions- we used multilink cubes and playdoh to help us.

National Skipping Week!

Emerald Class loved learning how to skip during National Skipping Week! It wasn’t easy to begin with but we showed excellent resilience and got there in the end!

An egg-citing science experiment in Diamond class!

After writing about Humpty Dumpty during our English lessons, we decided to carry out an experiment today. We dropped eggs to see if they would crack! We put the eggs into zip wallets along with different materials/objects. We predicted which would protect the egg best before dropping them and recording our results. The cotton wall balls were the best and our egg did not have a mark on it!

Bug hunt

Diamond class have shown an interest in bugs they have found in the playground this week. So, we decided to goon a whole class bug hunt today! We found lots of wriggly worms and looked at them carefully before putting them back where they were found. We spoke about the importance of handling creatures with care.

Happy Diwali!

Diamond class have been learning about the Hindu festival of Diwali. We have made Divaa lamps with clay, drawn Rangoli patterns on the playground and read the story of Rama and Sita.
