This week Diamond Class have introduced Friendship Buddies. Each week two children will be chosen (using fairness sticks! ❤️😊) to be our Friendship Buddies for the week.
What does a Friendship Buddy do?
Friendship Buddies are on hand to help out people in need on the playground. If someone is feeling sad, lonely or hurt then friendship buddies are there to help! 😊
Every child in Diamond Class will have the chance to be a Friendship Buddy throughout the year.

Well done to all the children for taking part in last weeks big blog challenge! We were overwhelmed with the amazing amount of kindness we saw from Diamond Class! 😀⭐️✨ Diamond Class are amazing. Our winning team of the week was….. 🥁 Red Team!! 👏 Well done red team and everyone! ☺️🏆

This week is Road Safety Week! 🚛

Thank you to Miss Wade for sending out our Road Safety Homework this week. Our blog challenge this week is linked to this homework. 😀
What is a Road Safety Hero?
A Road Safety Hero can be anyone who helps us make safe and healthy journeys and supports people after a road crash. You can be road safety heroes too by using roads safely.
We would love you to have a chat with your family at home about what a hero is and who a road safety hero may be. Then we would love you to draw/make/create a Road Safety Hero! 🦸♀️ Please bring your heroes into school this week whenever you have the chance. We can’t wait to see them!
Challenge– Can you give your Road Safety Hero a name? ⭐️ 🦸🏾♂️
Please see the link below for further resources and videos :).

Thank you very much!

Thank you to all the children in Diamond Class who have done something kind to put a smile on someone else’s face this week! 🥰
Spreading kindness is the most wonderful thing we can do. Diamond Class are so kind! ⭐️💎😊
We’ve had delicious biscuits brought into school to spread kindness and to put smiles on people’s faces. ☺️❤️😊We’ve had children donating toys to the Samaritans. ✨😀 We’ve had children making each other lovely cards to spread happiness! We’ve even awarded good friend awards to each other in class when we have shown kindness and have been a great friend too! 🏅
Some happy photos from the week…. We hope they make you smile! ⭐️

This week started our new superheroes 🦸♀️ mini topic and wow what fun we’ve had already!! 🤩
We are loving this new mini topic and we have learned lots about our own super powers! 🦸🏾♂️ We are brave. We are kind. We are courageous. We are great friends. We spread smiles and laughter! ⭐️
If you could have any super power what would it be and why? ☺️ talk to your families to find out which special powers they would love to have! 🙋🏽
So far we’ve rescued captured superheroes by untangling them so they can save the day! This activity really helps our fingers! 😊

We’ve had SO much fun using our imaginations at Superheroville this week too! 🦸🏾♂️🦸♀️⭐️🤩 Superheroville was attacked by a group of angry dinosaurs 🦕 so our superheroes were tasked with saving the day! We talked about how our superheroes could use their special powers to save the day! 💎 look at those smiles!

We’ve also had lots of fun being superhero name writers this week too! We practised our letters and wrote our names beautifully. Tomorrow we are going to come up with our own special superhero names!! ✨ ❤️💙💛

Please check back tomorrow to see what other super activities we get up to! 🤩✨
Another wonderful week at gymnastics! This week we worked really hard on our balancing skills. ⭐️🤸💎

We then completed a circuit to build on our strength and balance! 🤩✨

We finished our session by working on our jumping, landing and balancing! ☺️🤸

We LOVE gymnastics! ☺️

This week is Anti-Bullying week and the theme this year is ‘One Kind Word’. So this week our blog challenge is based on kindness. Being kind is the most important thing we can be. ☺️ Diamond Class spread kindness every single day! ✨

This week I would love you to spread kindness wherever we go! 😊 Can you complete 1 or 2 or maybe even 3 of the kindness tasks in the challenge below? I bet you can Diamond Class! 💎 Make sure you come and tell Miss Poppleton all about the tasks you have completed. The team who complete the most will win a trophy in Friday’s assembly remember! 😊 🏆

Extra challenges! ❤️✨💎
If you manage to complete the kindness chart or are looking for a different challenge you may want to complete another kindness activity such as talking to an adult about what kindness means to you or making a kindness pebble or postcard. You may even wish to create a kindness poster to share in our classroom! 😊 The choice is entirely yours and feel free to be as creative as you like!

Diamond class really do love gymnastics! Look at those smiley faces 😀😀😀
We practised lots of stretches and got really good at doing tucks. We had to work super hard to keep our knees together and to not drop the beanbag!
We then completed an exciting circuit of activities and finished with some super bouncing! 😀🤸♀️🥰
We LOVE gymnastics!!

This week Diamond Class have learnt all about Remembrance Day. We have learned about the brave soldiers who went to battle for us many, many years ago.
“We think the soldiers are like real life superheroes!” Louis
“We wear poppies because they show people we are thinking of the brave soldiers” Olivia
“We wear poppies because when the war ended the soldiers saw poppies growing in the mud and it made them feel happy again” Jon
Today we had a wonderful Remembrance Day assembly with our whole school led by Onyx class (Year 5/6). We then went outside to our flagpole and lay a Remembrance wreath and showed our respect with a 2 minute silence. Following this we had some super Year 6’s come and read us some beautiful remembrance poetry. They read their poems off by heart and with lovely loud and clear voices. We were super proud of them all and have them lots of good feedback! 😀✏️⭐️
Blog Challenge 💚💛❤️💙
Thank you for all of the amazing poppy blog entries this week! They are all absolutely wonderful and so special! You absolutely wowed us Diamond Class! 😍 💎 We are so proud of how hard all the children worked.

We hope you enjoy looking at the photos of us busy this week! 😊
