This afternoon, Onyx class learnt that the Victorians invented the motor car, the bike, the train and the propeller boat. In groups, we worked out how these inventions have impacted today’s world.
The children worked really hard to prepare their presentation in 20 minutes and then present their findings to the rest of the class.
They all worked incredibly and realised that without the Victorians we wouldn’t be able to live very far from our place of work, we wouldn’t have goods from different parts of the world, we wouldn’t have amazing sports such as track cycling and our businesses wouldn’t be able to sell their products to such a wide market.
