We have been busy this week in Emerald Class! As part of Children’s Mental Health Week, the children have been looking at ‘connections’ and how we are all connected in some way. To start the week, we read The Invisible String and created our own pictures of all the people we had strings to, no matter how far away they are. We created a giant puzzle to show how we all fit together in our classroom. Finally, we read Words and Your Heart which focusses on how powerful your words are and how they can impact other people. We then created cards and filled them with different words to describe that person.

Emerald class have enjoyed taking Maths outdoors today. Children had to run to the middle, collect two number cards and then create a subtraction with them in their books! Some even challenged themselves by using three number cards in their calculations!
