We are really looking forward to WORLD BOOK DAY on THURSDAY 3rd March and sharing all your fantastic favourite books 📚.
Have you decided what yours is yet ?
Are you dressing up as your favourite character? Or …
Bringing in props to help share your favourite book ? Or ….
Coming in your pyjamas with your favourite bedtime reading book ?
Whatever you decide we’ll have a great day celebrating our love ❤️ of books and reading.

Ruby Class had a wonderful afternoon creating a superb masterpiece!
Check out their wonderful bear artwork. 🥰🥰

Emerald Class had a jam-packed day of busy learning and fun for team day! Our theme was Valentine’s Day and Kindness! We started today with computing where the children designed and created their own kindness bears. We thought about the qualities we would like to see in a kindness bear and Emerald Class had some great ideas for how to show kindness each day. ❤
Can you complete some random acts of kindness? 😃⭐

As part of our science activity, we took part in a STEM challenge to build a structure of hearts. The children worked in their teams (some as a whole group, others in pairs within the group and other children worked independently in their team) to create hearts out of strips of paper and card. They were challenged to build the tallest standing structure – it was a fun and tricky challenge! It was such a joy to see the children so engaged in the task!

We also learnt a friendship song and the children also took part in PE, art and RE activities. A fun and busy day!
We have also been learning about Mental Health Week too! We took part in gardening activities and enjoyed being outside. We planted some seeds and we can’t wait to see them grow!
After half term, we will be beginning our new topic ‘Enchanted gardens’ and we can’t wait to learn more about plants and being outside! We have Forest School next half term on a Friday afternoon which we are thoroughly looking forward to!

The classroom is awash with colour this morning as the children’s fantastic Viking longships adorn the walls.
Over the past few weeks , the children have thoroughly enjoyed creating their masterpieces . They all look fantastic!! Well done !!
We had a brilliant hour in Topaz class today whilst the children shared all the fantastic Viking activities they have completed for homework.
The most popular activities have been making Viking biscuits and making longships.
We also have some of the children’s projects on Teams to look forward to sharing after the holidays.

Fantastic work ! Thank you .
This afternoon we took our wonderful Year 5 and 6 Athletics team to the Indoor Athletics competition at Malbank.

After 2.5 years of having no sports competitions, they performed AMAZINGLY! Super running, excellent teamwork and camaraderie, great sportsmanship, superb listening and even better cheering- we were soo proud!

Well done everyone and a special thank you to all the parents for being wonderful taxis!
Ruby Class had great fun planning and writing a non-chronological report about tigers. It was great to see the class showing excellent reading, writing and team work skills! 📝📚🐅
Now we have written one together, we’re going to use all of our learning to write our own non-chronological reports. 📝
Check back later to see their wonderful writing!

Ruby Class learnt how to stay safe online by watching a video about two children, Lee and Kim. We had a great discussion afterwards about being online safety superheroes!
I’ve attached the link below so that you can watch the video again with your child and talk about the importance of staying safe online. ☺️💻

Ruby Class had brilliant fun learning how to code! 😎
