👻😱😨Suspense Stories👻😱😨

Over the last three weeks, Topaz class have been working on writing ✍️ suspense stories.

We have read brilliant examples of suspense writing to help create a Suspense Tool Kit to ensure our own writing delivers a tense atmosphere: dark place , characters on their own, something or someone, hearing noises. All these ingredients help keep the reader guessing what is going to happen !!!

All the children have created super stories. Well done 👏 !!

🎄Christmas Fair🎄

Year 5&6 had a fantastic time this afternoon running their own stalls at the Christmas Fair. Despite the wind and rain and quick change of location, they worked superbly as a team, came up with brilliantly creative ideas and grew in confidence over the time.

A huge thank you goes to all the parents who helped the stalls to be such a success, bought prizes and also came and supported us. You are very much appreciated!

Well done Year 5&6- you learnt a lot and did yourselves proud! Ho, ho, ho!

🔴🟡🟢🔵 Topaz Blog Challenge 🔴🟡🟢🔵

This week, we have been finding out about the counties in England.

Your BLOG challenge this week is to find out which different counties your friends and family live in.

Write a list of at least 5 counties and the city , town, village or hamlet your family or friends live in.

For example:

Uncle Trevor – Lancashire – Fulwood.

Look at the map in your Reading Diary to identify where abouts in the country their county is.

Good luck !!

🗺Land Use – Geography🗺

Today in geography, Topaz class learnt about different uses for land in settlements. We discovered that land is used in a variety of ways including; agricultural, housing , retail, industry , business and leisure.

We focused on our local area studying ; Crewe , Nantwich and Wrenbury.

It soon became clear that in our local area most land is used for housing and agriculture. Next week, we will look at similarities and differences of land use in our local area.
